I've heard that there was a plan to release interpretations on the "Illinoise" album but the project was aborted (part of the 33 1/3 series).

I thought it was interesting that the one guy asked him if his religious themes were personal and he told him they'd talk about it one-to-one. Was Sufjan not yet public about his affiliation back then?
